Inventory Management

The direction and control of activities with the purpose of getting the right inventory in the right place at the right time in the right quantity in the right form at the right cost.

Multi-Channel Sales Management

Distributing products to the marketplace, either directly to the end customer, or indirectly through intermediaries such as retailers or dealers.

Vendor Product Import (Tier 1/Tier 2)

Vendor Product Import - Gozooko has integration points to a growing number of vendors which allows the import of 10,000's of products in minutes. All information the vendor provides is imported, such as images, descriptions, pricing, attributes, UPC, cost, MSRP, model #, weight, and more. Most of the vendor interfaces also use the drop ship feature.

Drop Shipping

A process whereby three parties interact with the sales transaction (the buyer, the seller, and the supplier). The buyer initiates a purchase from the seller, who then arranges with the supplier to ship the product directly to the buyer. The seller does not carry inventory of the product and the supplier does not have any direct communication with the buyer. The buyer pays the seller and the seller pays the supplier.

Shopping Cart

On a Web site that sells products or services online, the shopping cart is a common metaphor (from the original grocery store shopping cart) for the catalog or other pages where a user reads and makes selections. Typically, the user checks off any products or services that are being ordered and then, when finished ordering, indicates that and proceeds to a page where the total order is placed and confirmed. The programming that provides a Web site with the ability to build a catalog and its associated database and to integrate pages into its site that provide users the ability to shop is known as shopping cart software.

Technical Services

Domain Name

A hostname that identifies a computer or computers on the Internet. These names appear as a component of a Web site's URL, e.g. www.gozooko.com.

Disk Space

The amount hard drive space available for web site files and any other data.

Bandwidth

This is the amount a data aloud to be transferred per month. Any time someone accesses your web site, there is an amount of data that is transferred. All the pictures and words that are passed to web browsers is kept track of. The amount of data that is passed can be view on your static pages. We offer Band Width limiting for those are surpassing there quota.

Control Panel

This gives you the ability to add user or email accounts to your domain. You can check statistics, change passwords and more. Great tool to have.

Statistics

This shows statistical data about your web site ie; how much data has been transferred, how many page hits there are, etc.

Backups

Nightly backups are performed for your website. Tape backup option is available.

Email Features

Virus Protection/Anti-Spam

Gozooko email servers have built in virus protection and anti-spum software. It is still recommended to have both of these anti-virus and anti-spam software installed on your system.

POP3 EMail Accounts

Post Office Protocol version 3 (POP3) is an Internet standard protocol used by local e-mail clients to retrieve e-mail from a remote server.

Email Alias Accounts

An Email Alias is and account that points to your real account. For example: let's say you have joe@yourdomain.com as email address. Now we add an alias account that says sales@yourdomain.com which sends emails to joe@yourdomain.com. If someone sends and email to sale@yourdomain.com it actually be delivered to joe@yourdomain.com mailbox.

Web Mail

This allows you to access your email through the web while you are away from your home or office. You can send email, setup autoreply, and more.

Catch-All/Forwarding

Catch means that any email sent to your domain is forwarded to an email address of your choice. Mail forwarding allows you to forward emails to any address you would like.

Other Technical Services

Dedicated IP

A dedicated IP is an individual address assigned to your website. Required for e-commerce and sftp hosting.

Grid Hosting

It is a form of distributed computing whereby a "super and virtual computer" is composed of a cluster of networked computers, acting in concert to perform very large tasks. What distinguishes grid computing from conventional cluster computing systems is that grids tend to be more loosely coupled, heterogeneous, and geographically dispersed.

Test Environment

This gives you the ability to upload/download your web site to a test environment prior to launching to production.

Firewall

An integrated collection of security measures designed to prevent unauthorized electronic access to a networked computer system. It is also a device or set of devices configured to permit, deny, encrypt, decrypt, or proxy all computer traffic between different security domains based upon a set of rules and other criteria.

Load Balancing

Is a technique to spread work between two or more computers, network links, CPUs, hard drives, or other resources, in order to get optimal resource utilization, maximize throughput, and minimize response time. Using multiple components with load balancing, instead of a single component, may increase reliability through redundancy.

Clustered Hosting

Gozooko uses redundant servers to answer all web requests, file transferring, email service, etc. at extremely high speeds. By using redundant server web access time is faster and if a server fails there is no downtime because there is another server answering requests.

High-Availability

Refers to a system or component that is continuously operational for a desirably long length of time. Availability can be measured relative to "100% operational" or "never failing." A widely-held but difficult-to-achieve standard of availability for a system or product is known as "five 9s" (99.999 percent) availability.
